Welcome to the USS Aeon!

As commanding officer of the USS Aeon, I would like to hearby extend a very warm welcome to your visit. You have stumbled across our humble vessel, a Luna-class vessel, as we prepare to depart on our maiden voyage into the stars.

And yes, although our crew is a tight-nit group of friends, we are always looking for new members to join our ranks. So please, take a look a round, see what you think, read up on our sim and if you want to hop aboard, please do join us!

Hopefully I will see you soon in person!

1) Notices

Things have been going pretty slow on the Aeon. Not to worry, hopefully we can finish off the posts we have, finish off our mission, and push forward again!

So, the plan at the moment is to get to a stage where we can join back up into one large finishing post, and then move onto a crew created mission (or another command created mission if no-one has any ideas).

To that extent, I'm hearby opening up mission submissions. If you have a mission idea you'd like to run, please send the submissions by using the PM system at the top of the screen and sending them to myself and Barim Nash. We will review the missions you send and choose the decided mission once we have cleared this one.

2) Crew Update

No crew changes this month.

3) Awards & Promotions

No content this month = no awards this month.

4) Upcoming Month's Goals

Let's finish the mission posts we have and get them posted!

If we don't make that much progress over the next few weeks we have in September, I might take the opportunity to just move us straight onto the next mission anyway at the end of this month. We shall see where we are at then.

Signing off,

Captain Estrad Dagan

1) Notices

Wow. What a turmoil of a month June turned out to be. I apologise again for my hasty actions back then, I was rather worried about the activity levels on the Sim. However, I am glad that the crew came together to support the Aeon back to life, and I'm sure we will be able to push forward with confidence.

I know that one half of our current story is very active, and the other half has stalled due to crew leave of absence. Hopefully we can restart the ship half soon enough and catch up!

2) Crew Update

No crew changes, which is good as no one has left :)

3) Awards & Promotions

Awards will be given out at the end of this month.

4) Upcoming Month's Goals

I have said this before, and I'll probably say it again, but I would like to see more single posts. This is so that we can visually see activity on the Sim.

Remember, you can fit it in and around the current timeline, or make it a backstory for your character. Or you can do the same for one of the NPCs you manage. Also remember, single posts need only be 3 paragraphs in length, you don't need to write a long essay!

And as for the mission in general, we are nearing the final stages that will complete this entry storyline. Once this finishes I will be looking to create our first crew-driven mission. That is, one for you to design and help manage. Do think of any possible mission ideas you would like to put forth.

Once again, thank you for your support of the Aeon. It is your support and dedication that keeps this Sim going.

Signing off,

Captain Estrad Dagan

Hi everyone,

As you know, the deadline of changes has passed. I have got a resounding answer from every member of the crew indicating their desire to continue simming under the new rules and with the same characters in the same position, so we'll continue from where we left off.

I will be discussing the next part of our storyline with our XO soon, where we will be splitting the crew into two. Keep an eye on the Into Orbit post as we finish that off and move on.

In the meantime, please do continue with any JPs and SPs that you might have as we begin our move back into normality.

Thank you for your patience!

I'd like to remind all crew members that the deadline for any changes to your character, including the acceptance of continuance on board the Simm, is this Wednesday at 6pm UK time. You have just under 42 hours from this post until this deadline passes.

While most of you have responded that you are staying on board the Simm, I would like to remind all crew to ensure you character is setup in accordance with the new rules. These new rules will go into full force when the deadline passes.

Cheers,

Captain Estrad Dagan

Hi all,

Thank you to those who have responded to my revival post over the past day or so. I can safely acknowledge now that my posting the demise of the Simm was completely premature and I'm extremely pleased with the level of dedication that those who have replied have shown to reshaping the Simm for the better.

As I've received such good feedback, I'd like you to continue sending any other ideas you've got for the Simm. Any criticism, changes, comments, suggestions, anything really that you'd like me to take on-board as we shape the future of the Aeon.

Based upon received feedback, I've reduced the number of days allowed for responding to a tag from 7 days to 4 days. Please make sure you're happy with that change as well, as it'll hopefully speed up JP creation by a considerable amount (along with me enforcing it).

The deadline given in the previous post for sorting out your characters, coming in-line with the new rules and acknowleding your continuance on the Simm was 7 days. This is officially given now as 6pm UK Time on 26th June 2013. Please make sure you respond by then (if you haven't already) as we'll be moving off pretty sharpish from that point.

Those who are staying behind, please do continue with writing SPs and other JPs and posting these as well.

Thank you again for your continued support of the Aeon :)

Yours,

Captain Estrad Dagan

Estrad plonked himself down in front of his Chief Tactical Officer, a glass of cider in one hand, and smiled. He wanted to make sure he got to know all of his senior officers, and this gathering was as good a time as any.

"So, Lieutenant," he said casually. "How…

Estrad stepped out of the turbolift and headed down towards his command chair. The viewscreen showed passing stars indicating that they were still at warp.

"Commander, report," Estrad ordered.

"Almost there, Captain," replied Barim, comfortably in Estrad's chair. He got up and politely gesture Estrad towards it.

"Very good. Go…

Having been busy with departing dock, making sure the Aeon got to the rendezvous point in good time, and then going through the simulated combat; Estrad hadn't had time to make acquaintances with the first ever Kalan on-board a Federation starship. Now he had some peace between all the action,…

Personal log, stardate whatever.

Just a few days till we rendezvous with the Aeon. I’m excited.

I've been reading up on the Aeon’s crew. The captain’s joined. I don’t know how I missed that before.

It shouldn't be a problem, I’m used to the idea of it, really. Hell, I…

Captain's Log, Stardate 66532.9.

The USS Aeon has been assigned it's first mission; to escort Commodore Bel Moroi to Starbase 244, where we will then be stationed in Starfleet's efforts to build a defensive force against any Romulan incursion.

I have to say, seeing my former commanding officer made Commodore…
